For this project I was given an Etsy article that was from an issue of Wired magazine. The project was to take that article and present it in a magazine layout. I was allowed to make the article look however I wanted. Requirements were to make a new cover and make sure the entirety of the original article was in the remake. For my new look I stayed with the theme of Etsy, handmade and color theme of orange. The color theme works out perfectly for me as well, because it was the October edition. I also tried to keep some handmade items in the article to feature some things that may on the website keeping true to with the company is about.
Process:
When making this article design I wanted to keep it true to the crafting elements of Etsy and how everything on the site is handmade. While also keeping with their color orange throughout the article and the cover for the article being the feature on the front. I tried to find images that were of handmade items or images that people created on the computer. While getting the little crafty icons throughout the article as well to add some more supplies within the writing. Also acting as paragraph breaks.
